About Window Elephant - Version 1.0d5 - July 1, 1991
Window Elephant is currently for use only with the Think C development environment. More specifically it is for use by the Think C Debugger. It works with version 4.0 (tested up to 4.0.5) of Think C and works under System 6.0 to System 7.0.
So what does it do? It remembers where you have placed the source and data windows and restores their positions everytime the Debugger is launched. That’s all (for this version at least). Multiple monitors are, of course, supported. If you should move your copy of Think C Debugger to another Mac that has a different monitor setup, Window Elephant will let the debugger handle setting the windows in the default position, then remember where they are from then on. Window Elephant is free but copyright remains Reata Software, Inc. Feel free to give it out to anyone.
How to Install it
---------------
Simply drag it into your System Folder (if your using 6.0 or before) or put it in your Extensions folder (if your using 7.0).
Holding the OPTION key down during the boot process will disable Window Elephant.
Version History
--------------
• v1.0d5
Window sizing code has been enhanced to remember correctly multiple monitor size windows and monitor changes occuring to a system. For example, removing/adding monitors to a system will make Window Elephant default the windows instead of sizing them weird.
• v1.0d4
Added support for saving zoomed window positions.
Corrected a bug that positioned the data window under the menu bar. This only occured if the data window wasn't moved (left in the default position) upon the first run of the debugger once Window Elephant was loaded.
• v1.0d3
First public release of Window Elephant.
Many thanx to Brooks Bell for the patch code to get Window Elephant started and the enormous help in debugging and testing it!!
